REALTORS® Do More With Less, Low Inventories Continue

Posted: 10.24.18

Eau Claire, WI - Several counties across the western region have seen an increase in housing sales from September 2017 to September 2018. However, throughout Wisconsin, tight housing inventories continue.

“REALTORS® continue to move the available supply quickly, which results in houses being on the market for a shorter time,” said RANWW Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt.

The average number of days a house is on the market dropped 16.4% to 92 days in September across the state, according to the most recent analysis of the existing home market by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association. In Chippewa County, the average number of days a house is on the market is 69 days, which is 28 percent less than the average September of last year.

“As houses continue to sell quickly, now is a great time to consider putting your house on the market. It is also the time to team up with an experienced REALTOR® whether you are buying or selling to make sure you are staying on top of the hot market,” noted RANWW Board of Directors President, Stacey McKinney.
