Home Sales Still on the Rise in Eau Claire

Posted: 10.6.21

Wisconsin as a whole saw a drop in August home sales compared to last year, according to the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association. However, Eau Claire sales saw an increase of 14.2% compared to August 2020 with 177 houses sold this August.

"Eau Claire sales have not followed suit with the rest of the state," said REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt. "Local REALTORS® have been selling quality homes nonstop this summer.

With lower inventory and days on the market compared to last year, Eau Claire sees an increase of median home prices by 11%.

"It is inevitable with high demand and low supply, housing affordability will fall," said Deb Hanson, RANWW Board President. "Nonetheless, REALTORS® are ready to work in this fast-paced market to find the best fit for each homeowner.

The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is the professional trade association that all professional REALTORS® residing within the association jurisdiction belong to. The association provides educational opportunities for its members, is active in local, state and national advocacy efforts, engages in community outreach through charitable giving, operates its own private foundation to help homeowners in need and remains a positive force for the members they serve.
