Paint lids, work gloves, and mesh screens could make an appearance again during this year’s construction couture fashion event.

Hammers & Heels Fashion Show, presented by Legends Title Services, is at 7 p.m. Thursday at UW-Eau Claire’s Davies Center.

Proceeds benefit Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity and Feed My People Food Bank.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at HammersAndHeelsFashionShow.com and at the door.

General admission tickets are $35 today and Sunday or $40 after Sunday and at the door. VIP and reception tickets are only available through Sunday.

To bring attention to the local building industry, the event has local businesses compete for the best design made from construction materials.

New this year, the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association will face off against the Realtors Association of Northwestern Wisconsin in a live Hammer It Out Challenge to see who can create the best design with surprise materials.

Attendees can vote for their favorite designs, see performances by dance students from Danz Kraze and place bets at an auction.

“Last year we were amazed by the creativity by the businesses involved in the show,” said Christina Thrun, executive officer for the local builders association. “Everyone who attended last year just raved about the event. It’s one you definitely won’t want to miss.”

The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is the professional trade association that all professional REALTORS® residing within the association jurisdiction belong to. The association provides educational opportunities for its members, is active in local, state and national advocacy efforts, engages in community outreach through charitable giving, operates its own private foundation to help homeowners in need and remains a positive force for the members they serve.
