Eau Claire, WI - 2018 home sales in western Wisconsin were within 1% of record sales pace in 2017, despite limited inventories.

The most recent analysis of the existing home market by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association showed Eau Claire County having only 6 fewer home sales in 2018 compared to 2017, and Dunn County saw an increase of 19 home sales from 2017 to 2018.

“Western Wisconsin had another solid year in home sales in 2018 as the limited houses on the market sold quickly,” said REALTORS® Association of Northwest Wisconsin Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt.

The median home prices in the northwestern region increased over 6% in 2018 versus 2017. The high demand and low inventory levels favored a seller’s market. Seller’s experienced their home being on the market as many as 23% fewer days in 2018 compared to 2017.

“As quickly as houses continue to sell, it is important whether you are considering buying or selling to team up with an experienced REALTOR®,” added Stacey McKinney, RANWW board president.
