The Salvation Army is one-third of the way into bell ringing season and, with the help of bell ringers and sponsors, has raised $21,252 toward its Red Kettle campaign of Barron and Polk counties.

"To continue serving the homeless at the current level next year, we need to raise an additional $138,748 in the final four weeks of the campaign to reach our goal of $160,000 in Polk and Barron counties," said Kari Clark, fundraising manager. "To meet this challenge, we have a pressing need to fill the bell ringing shifts between now and the end of the year."

She pleads, "If you, your business, civic group or church has not yet rung the bell, we humbly ask that you consider ringing for a shift or cover a full day this season. If you or your organization have already rung the bell and are willing to ring again, we ask that you consider signing up to take another day or shift."

To register, go to registertoring.com or contact Patty at 715-554-4928 for assistance.

For those who are unable to ring but wish to donate to the SA's Red Kettle campaign, online contributions are just as valuable. To donate, go to salarmy.us/PolkCountyVirtualRedKettle2023 or salarmy.us/BarronCountyVirtualRedKettle2023.

To contribute via a check, address it to: The Salvation Army of Barron County, P.O. Box 8 Rice Lake, WI 54868 or The Salvation Army of Polk County, P.O. Box 129, Clear Lake, WI 54005.

"Together, we can take care of our community and support those less fortunate," Clark said.
