Summer Housing Market Numbers Skyrocket

Posted: 09.30.20

It was an exciting summer for the housing market in Wisconsin, with record-low mortgage interest rates resulting in a new three-month record in home sales.

According to the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association, June - August 2020 home sales throughout the state show growth of 2.8% compared to June - August 2019. Locally, Chippewa County's year-to-date sales have increased 9.4% from last year and Dunn County's year-to-date sales increased 8.2%.

“With a tough year for the economy, it is great to see our local sales numbers up compared to last year,” said REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt.

A competitive housing market gives buyers and sellers even more reason to hire an experienced REALTOR®.

“REALTORS® have the experience and resources to make sure your offer is competitive and gets noticed in this tight market,” said Gary Brenizer, RANWW board president.

The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is the professional trade association that all professional REALTORS® residing within the association jurisdiction belong to. The association provides educational opportunities for its members, is active in local, state and national advocacy efforts, engages in community outreach through charitable giving, operates its own private foundation to help homeowners in need and remains a positive force for the members they serve.
