Eau Claire, WI - With tight inventory, January 2022 Wisconsin home sales were down 4.2% and median home prices were up 10% from January 2021. January 2021 had record-setting January sales, so even with this slight decline, January 2022 experienced the second-strongest sales for the month of January.

In our local West Wisconsin region, January home sales were stronger than last year. January home sales were up 4.3% from January 2021, even as median home prices in the region were up an average of 6% over last year.

Dunn County saw an impressive 55.6% increase in sales over last year.

With low inventory and high demand, our current housing market is the strongest seller’s market in years, according to Brad Lois, 2022 Chairman of the Board of Directors, Wisconsin REALTORS® Association. “With such limited supply, this is a great time to list your home. A REALTOR® who is experienced can help homeowners get the best price for their home, which is often their most important asset.”

The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is the professional trade association that all the professional REALTORS® residing within the association jurisdiction belong to. The association provides educational opportunities for its members, is active in local, state, and national advocacy efforts, engages in community outreach through charitable giving, operates its own foundation to help homeowners in need, and remains a positive force for the members they serve.
