Eau Claire WI.-  Despite inventory shortages, and even a drop over last year, home sales reached near-record levels this winter. It’s a great time to be a seller - with homes selling 27% quicker than last year and home prices continuing to climb.

● February 2022 Wisconsin home sales were down 4.7%
● The statewide median home price rose 9.3% over the past 12 months

Western Wisconsin is ahead of the curve, with Eau Claire, in particular, rising above the average.

● Eau Claire County saw a 32.6% increase in median home price over the last year
● February western Wisconsin median home price rose 13.3% from February 2021
● Average days on the market in the region were down an average of 27.1% over last year

Despite having low housing inventory, winter sales were approaching an all time high this year, according to Brenda Barnhardt, Executive Vice President, REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin. “This winter has been great for home sales compared to previous years, and is even more impressive when considering the low inventory available.”
