Eau Claire, WI - Boyceville received a placemaking grant from the National Association of REALTORS® to help attract and retain residents, especially young families, retain and grow businesses, strengthen the community, welcome travelers, and continue to improve safety. The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin applied for the national level placemaking grant that Boyceville received.

“It is our passion and duty to help improve the communities we serve, and we are excited to help this outstanding cause,” said REALTORS® Association of Northwest Wisconsin Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt.

The Better Boyceville Committee and West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission have worked together to find key components that will bring the community together, provide social activities and opportunities, and improve overall aesthetics of the downtown area. The top five areas that will be addressed are the Pafko Park, Main Street and downtown, East Street-Hwy 170 intersection, Freedom Park & Airport, and community entrances.

“New signage, improved lighting, additional bike racks, and steps to improve both recreation and safety will make a positive impact on those that live and visit Boyceville," added Barnhardt.

The REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is the professional trade association that all professional REALTORS® residing within the association jurisdiction belong to. The association provides educational opportunities for its members, is active in local, state and national advocacy efforts, engages in community outreach through charitable giving, operates its own private foundation to help homeowners in need and remains a positive force for the members they serve.
